Translation of the brand into sound

Bank Cler is the new bank for Switzerland. A bank with a social conscience that really cares about its customers and uses the opportunities offered by digitalization to make their lives easier. A bank that sets itself apart from traditional financial institutions and, as a rather small national retail bank, wants to challenge the industry leaders in the market.

Ambition

Translating this attitude into sound was the central task in the sonic branding process. It became clear that the auditory focus should be on the courage to be different. The central attributes were self-confident, fresh and uncomplicated. The bank’s rebellious spirit of optimism should not be lost. Based on these specifications the Sound DNA was developed as the core of the sound identity.

Sound

The accentuated bass melody is key for the distinct aesthetic, which is surprising and highly differentiating in the financial sector. The clear structure of this element stands for simple and innovative banking; The mixture of digital and organic sounds implies the balancing act between customer proximity and radical digital solutions.

Awards

The «Bank Cler Sonic Branding» won a «Better Sound» award at the International Sound Awards 2018 in Hamburg.
